Recently, my mom bought me a sewing machine for my birthday. At first i was hesitant to accept it because Ive never sewn anything for real in my life. While looking online, I pointed out basic models that in my mind would defiantly do the trick. She was so adamant that we get something that wasnt the bare minimum that I wound up with a rather nice machine. God was my mom right. Ive picked up the basics of sewing so fast its kind of scary. Im already on to trying my hand at actual patterns! So far Ive tackled a set of drapes for my little craft room and a huge set of drapes and about 10 pillows for a good friend.
In other news, I offically start my new full time job tomorrow. Though I am excited, I cant help but worry my little art business will take a major back seat. By no means am I making near enough to pay my bills, but it does keep pretty happy. I really feel like the time Ive had recently has allowed me to develop my skills quite a bit. So now on to a new challenge. Blance my art into my now busy weeks and still love it. Im so ready to take this challenge on :)
